Personal Bio
Reared by a New England father and Midwestern mother, the Boston-born Laura Lash has returned to the Midwest of her mother's youth. Following a post-collegiate whirlwind career tour that took her to Miami, New York and Los Angeles, she sashayed in and out of the production realm. She now has over eight years of production experience, having worked on everything from music videos for Eve and the Ruff Ryders to a teenage reality TV program for ABC Family.
Laura has also been a practitioner of yoga for over six years, beginning at the YMCA / Boston. The same friend that brought her to her first yoga class encouraged her to visit Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Lenox, MA. It was here that her practice developed into a lifestyle. In March 2005, Laura completed 200 hours of Teacher Training. Since that spiritual twist of events, Laura has been teaching Gentle, Fundamentals, Hatha and Vinyasa yoga in the Chicago area, most recently as the teacher in residence at the McCormick Tribune YMCA / Logan Square. She is pleased to bring yoga to this diverse community, reminiscent of the one she began practicing with.
Looking to apply her career skills outside her familiar production spectrum, she began doing temporary work with Quicksilver Associates located in downtown Chicago. Upon finding she loved the people, the work, the commute and the coffee, she accepted an offer as Project Manager, working both in the Internet Department and coordinating large-scale, remote destination meeting productions. In her time away from the Loop, Laura can be found teaching yoga, viewing French films and vacationing in Maine.
